Technical limits vary by plan and service. The limits shown in the Client’s quotation, service order, or account dashboard are authoritative.
Purpose and scope
This policy applies to hosting, cloud infrastructure, managed platforms, systems, APIs, and any shared technical resources supplied by Aptiun. It is intended to prevent use that harms the security, performance, or availability of services for the Client or others.
Normal and lawful use
- Use resources for the business purposes covered by the applicable plan or agreement and within the agreed capacity.
- Protect accounts, passwords, and API keys, and apply required security updates.
- Cooperate with Aptiun when investigating unusual consumption, a security incident, or a substantiated complaint.
- Comply with applicable law, intellectual property and privacy rights, and relevant third-party provider terms.
Unacceptable use
- Malware, phishing, fraud, unauthorized mining, attacks, or scanning third-party systems without authorization.
- Spam, mailing lists without documented consent, or attempts to circumvent anti-spam controls.
- Hosting unlawful content, infringing third-party rights, or using the service to conceal prohibited activity.
- Circumventing plan limits, metering, or security controls, or sharing access with unauthorized parties.
- Any excessive or recurring load that materially affects platform stability or other clients.
Resources and technical limits
Measured resources may include storage, data transfer, CPU, memory, files, databases, API calls, messages, and backups. Actual capacities are defined by the plan or agreement; resources should not be assumed to be “unlimited.”
- Aptiun may notify the Client when use approaches or exceeds a limit and may recommend optimization or a suitable plan upgrade.
- Temporary controls may be applied to protect service stability during sudden or abnormal consumption.
- Legitimate high usage is not a breach where it remains within the plan and does not harm the service. Additional capacity can be arranged in advance for campaigns or seasonal demand.
Monitoring and service protection
Aptiun may measure usage indicators and technical logs needed to operate and protect the service and verify compliance with this policy, subject to the Privacy Policy and least-access principles. This does not mean Aptiun routinely reviews Client content or assumes responsibility for supervising it.
Notice and remediation
Where a breach or harmful usage is identified, Aptiun will normally notify the Client, explain the required action, and provide an appropriate remediation period. Remediation may involve reducing consumption, removing prohibited content, securing an account, or moving to another plan.
- Immediate action may be taken without prior notice where there is an urgent security risk, unlawful activity, or a threat to systems or third-party data.
- Actions will be proportionate where possible and may include restricting a specific resource, temporary suspension, or termination for serious or repeated breaches.
- Suspension does not remove payment obligations or the Client’s duty to retain its own data copies as required by the agreement.
Backups and data recovery
The plan or agreement states whether backups are included, their frequency, retention period, and restoration method. Unless expressly stated otherwise, the Client remains responsible for maintaining an independent, current copy of important files and data.
Client responsibility
- Manage users and permissions, review them regularly, and remove unnecessary access.
- Update applications and plugins under the Client’s control and address known vulnerabilities.
- Ensure uploaded or processed data, content, and instructions are lawful and authorized.
- Promptly report incidents or unusual consumption and provide information reasonably needed for remediation.
Updates and contact
Aptiun may update this policy as services, security requirements, or regulations evolve. The last-updated date will be shown clearly, and Clients will be notified of material changes where appropriate. Questions or unusual usage reports may be sent to info@aptiun.com.
